Original block prints and 15 working Heidelberg Presses.
Located on a 250 acre personal wildlife sanctuary on
River Road on the Betsie River, the building of native
stones, glass, and old wood brings the outdoors in. From
the display room with its huge fireplace and natural
fountain visitors can watch 15 Heidelberg presses
printing napkins, notepapers, placemats, books and
postcards in an array of colors using the original
blocks created by Gwen.

Gwen
passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 25, 2001.
She was born April 26, 1906 in Sandusky, Michigan to Fred W. and Sara(Alexander)Frostic.
As a well-known author and lecturer Gwen shared her observations of the universe.
She was owner and president of Presscraft Papers, Gwen Frostic Prints, of Benzonia.
Over the years Gwen had been awarded honorary degrees from many colleges and universities.
In 1978 Michigan Governor William Milliken proclamed May 23rd as Gwen Frostic Day in Michigan, and in 1986 she was inducted into the Michigan Woman's Hall of Fame. Gwen

KALAMAZOO -- Gwen Frostic, one of Western Michigan University's most accomplished and celebrated alumni, died April 25, one day shy of her 95th birthday, at her long-time home in
Benzonia, Mich.
A memorial service for Frostic will be held Saturday, June 16, on the campus of the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Former WMU President Diether H.
Haenicke, a long-time friend of Frostic, will preside. Also speaking at the service will be Helen
Flaspohler, a retired WMU development officer and a director emerita of the WMU Foundation. Flaspohler met Frostic in 1974 and maintained a relationship with her until her death.
